Refunds & Returns Policy

1. Overview — short version
- Digital products (downloads, printables, e-books, digital art): non-refundable, except in case of technical problems that cannot be resolved or duplicate/incorrect charges.
- Services (consultations, readings, custom work): refundable according to the rules below — generally a partial refund depending on when the cancellation is made.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all purchases made at AdaTheDryad, including:
- Digital products (instant downloads, files delivered electronically).
- Services (one-time consultations, readings, coaching sessions, custom creative work, packages).
3. Digital products — no refunds (and why)
Because digital products are delivered instantly (downloaded or provided electronically), they are non-refundable once the download or delivery process has begun, unless one of the exceptions below applies.
Exceptions (we will consider a refund or replacement):
- You were charged more than once for the same item (duplicate charge).
- The file you received is corrupt, incorrectly delivered, or materially different from the product description and we cannot provide a working replacement in a reasonable time.
- We made an obvious error in the product listing.
If one of the above applies, contact us at ada@adathedryad.com with your order number and a short description (screenshots if helpful). We will investigate and offer a fix, replacement file, or refund where appropriate.
Legal note (EU / consumer right of withdrawal): where applicable, please note that EU rules allow consumers to withdraw from distance contracts. However, for digital content supplied immediately with the consumer’s prior explicit consent and acknowledgment that they lose the right of withdrawal (e.g. checked a box and clicked to start download), the statutory withdrawal right does not apply once delivery has begun. By purchasing/confirming an instant download you acknowledge and consent to immediate delivery and waive the right to withdraw where applicable.
4. Services — cancellations and refunds
Bookings & deposits: For most services (e.g., readings, consultations, custom work) we require either full prepayment or a deposit to secure your booking. The deposit/fee policy is specified on the service page and at checkout.
Refund rules (standard):
- Cancel ≥ 14 days before scheduled service: Full refund (or full refund of deposit) minus any payment processing fees (if applicable).
- Cancel 7–13 days before: 50% refund of the paid amount.
- Cancel < 7 days before: No refund.
If the service is ongoing (multi-session packages):
- If you cancel an ongoing package, we will refund the unused portion pro rata, minus any non-refundable deposit or the value of sessions already delivered. Specific terms for packages are listed on the product/service page.
If we cancel or reschedule: If AdaTheDryad cancels a confirmed booking, you will be offered either a full refund or a mutually convenient rescheduled date.
5. How to request a refund
To request a refund, please email: ada@adathedryad.com and include:
- Your order number / transaction ID
- Your full name and email used at purchase
- The reason for the refund request and any supporting evidence (e.g., screenshots, corrupted files, proof of duplicate charge)
We will review your request and reply within up to 14 business days. If a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method. Time for the funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.
6. Chargebacks & disputes
Please contact us first if you have any problem — we prefer to resolve disputes directly. If you open a chargeback with your bank or payment provider without contacting us, we will investigate and may contest the chargeback if we believe the payment was valid.
7. Faulty or misdescribed products
If a digital product is faulty or materially different from its description, we will either:
- provide a corrected/replacement file, or
- issue a refund if we cannot provide a correct file in reasonable time.
8. Processing fees & taxes
Refunds issued do not typically include payment processing fees charged by third parties (e.g., Stripe). Any applicable tax adjustments will be handled according to local law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The latest version and effective date will always be published on the website.
